Q. What is Paleo?
A. Paleo is short for Paleolithic, and the idea that our bodies have not adapted to eating foods that were not readily available to our hunter-gatherer ancestors––pre-agriculture. A Paleo diet cuts out all dairy, legumes, grains, processed foods/artificial ingredients and refined sugars, and limits servings of nuts, seeds, fruit, and starch. It focuses on eating proper servings of protein, tons of vegetables, and a generous serving of good fats (for example, olive oil, olives, coconut, avocado) for each meal. Q. Where do you get the props to style your photos?
A. I buy most of my table linens and colorful dinnerware from Anthropologie and West Elm and most of my silverware and basic dinnerware comes from my own kitchen.

Q. What platform did you create your website on?
A. I built my website using Drupal, a content managing system similar to Wordpress––I just find it a lot easier to use.

Q. What brand of coconut milk do you use?
A. I use Native Forest brand coconut milk, which I buy from Amazon, because they have the best price.

Thanks for all your efforts in writing and photographing the materials for this blog. Since I began eating paleo, I found the hardest thing is to find good new recipes and inspiration. Paleo has been the only way I have found to consistently maintain normal blood sugar levels, so it's not an option for me. I really appreciate your work here.

Where do you buy your grass fed meats?

I buy most of my meats between Whole Foods and Trader Joe's!
